Radian Guaranty, Inc., Philadelphia, PA/Senior Program Manager (12/2008-11/2009)

  • Radian's #1 initiative in 2009 was to create a new automated platform for its Loss Management area, which was working in a systemically defragmented environment while receiving unprecedented levels of claims.
  • Defined scope for the Program and the 11 Projects that were entailed based on new architecture.
  • Prepared and delivered regular, formal updates/presentations to the entire project team, business unit and the Executives including the President. Confirmed project deliverables, on time and within budget.
  • Chaired the Steering Committee, which met weekly and was comprised of members of the Executive Leadership Team, including the CIO. Prepared weekly status reports, which were distributed across the organization. This effectively managed risks as we reviewed the issue log and mitigation strategies and through consensus, controlled both the health of the project and communication in the Executive suite.
  • Communicated to the entire organization (business personnel, software vendors and service partners) through newsletters. Directed all training and development activities, created webinars for remote training.
  • Designed highly efficient systemic processes intended to reduce risk, and increase consistency and customer value while scalable for volume. Completed a GAP analysis that showed a 74% efficiency improvement plausible. Constructed an ROI model, which estimated savings of 87% at the program's end.

  • PHH is a full-service Mortgage Banker, which is the largest private label provider of mortgages to financial institutions and is rated in the Top 10 of Mortgage Bankers in the country. The servicing portfolio was estimated at $160B. The monthly closing volume was estimated at 30,000 units. They're federally regulated and publicly traded.
  • Secondary Marketing Manager/Pricing (2003-2008)
  • Reduced costs by more than $100,000 annually through organizational change improvements, software implementation, and efficiencies gained from newly designed processes where none had existed before.
  • Increased quality by 50% through system/software enhancements and revised auditing practices.
  • Created business requirements to complete the design and implementation of new workflow software that enabled the company to outsource 40% of manual tasks reducing costs by over 30%.
  • Developed and implemented operating procedures and policies for all Pricing/Secondary Marketing for wholesale and retail channels at an organization with over $30 billion annually in sales.
  • Completed the planning and budgeting for the domestic and off-shore operations groups for 65 people and a $500,000.00 operating budget.
